'Dune 3' Possible Cast: 9 Actors Expected to Return, 5 Stars Seemingly Won't Be Back

With Dune: Part Two being such a success in theaters, it seems to be a no-brainer that we’ll be getting Dune 3 in the future.

Director Denis Villeneuve has revealed that he’s already writing the third movie, based on the novel Dune: Messiah.

“The screenplay’s in progress,” he told Vanity Fair. “I’m very happy where it’s going, but it’s not finished, and I don’t know how healthy it’ll be to go straight to ‘Messiah’ right away. It would be healthy to do something in between.”

“I want to make sure that if we go back there a third time that it’ll be worth it, and that it would make something even better than Part Two,” he added.

A report on April 4 revealed that the movie is actively in development.

If and when the movie is made, we can expect that a bunch of actors will return to reprise their roles, but we already know that some others likely won’t be back. This post contains spoilers for Part Two, so stop reading now if you haven’t seen it yet.

'Dune' Director Denis Villeneuve Developing Third Movie in Franchise (Report)

There’s been an exciting update about Dune: Messiah following the major success of Dune: Part Two.

If you were unaware, the Dune movies, which star Timothee Chalamet and Zendaya, are based on a series of novels. The first two movies are an adaptation of the first book, and there has been talk about the series continuing and picking up with the second book – Dune Messiah.

A new report provided an update on where director Denis Villeneuve stands on the franchise’s future.

Timothee Chalamet Films Late-Night Scenes for Bob Dylan Biopic 'A Complete Unknown' in NYC

Timothee Chalamet is spending a late night on set of his upcoming Bob Dylan biopic.

The 28-year-old Oscar-nominated actor looked just like the music icon as he crossed the street and filmed scenes for A Complete Unknown on Sunday night (March 24) in New York City.

For his time on set of the James Mangold-directed movie, Timothee sported black sunglasses, a brown suede coat, a black shirt, brownish-green pants, and tan suede boots.

Earlier that day, Timothee was seen filming scenes with co-star Edward Norton, who is playing Pete Seeger.

The following day, Deadline reported that Scott McNairy, Dan Fogler, Will Harrison, and Charlie Tahan have joined the cast of A Complete Unknown in undisclosed roles.

The movie also stars Monica Barbaro as Joan Baez, Elle Fanning as Sylvie Russo, Boyd Holbrook as Johnny Cash, Nick Offerman as Alan Lomax, and P.J. Byrne as Harold Leventhal.

In a recent interview, Timothee revealed which of his Dune: Part Two co-stars he hoped would appear alongside him in the upcoming biopic.

Timothée Chalamet and Edward Norton are out on the streets to film their upcoming movie A Complete Unknown!

The two actors were spotted on set on Sunday (March 24) in New York City.

In the film, Timothée plays famed singer Bob Dylan. Edward will portray Pete Seeger.

Edward shot his scenes outside of a courthouse, where held and played a banjo.

Timothée sat on a park bench and read some notes.

A Complete Unknown also stars Monica Barbaro as Joan Baez, Elle Fanning as Sylvie Russo, Boyd Holbrook as Johnny Cash, Nick Offerman as Alan Lomax, and P.J. Byrne as Harold Leventhal.

James Mangold is directing the movie.
